BOC ( Balearic Islands, Spain )

Nagyszínpad, 20 July 2018, Friday, 19:30

After many years of traveling to different places and meeting different cultures, Joan Frontera Luna (creator and composer of BOC) was totally impregnated from traditional music and rhythms and decided to gather a whole number of characters that he thought were best suited to undertake this project; not only great musicians, but also great people and friends. BOC was born in mid-2009 from a little eclectic idea and eager to capture all those experiences based on the traditional instruments of Majorca. BOC composes folk with influences from around the world and focused on the new creation mixing the classical foundation of counterpoint and harmony with the important influence of hardcore, new age, metal, ska, etc. This way, the group has continuously evolved up to what it is today, thanks to the contribution of all members who come from very different musical backgrounds.

They are a young group with a lot of work behind and exited to live things only music can provide. Most of its members combine their wide-ranging musical training with the traditional world, being part of other traditional groups since many years.
